What US president stamps are of any value? (02/15/2008)

I would like to know what president stamps are of any value even $100.00 or more. I have an old stamp book someone left with some furniture years ago and he found it in something this lady gave him. It has president- Washington, lincoln, wilsom, roosevelt, plus others like nathan hale,taft, mckinney,monore, linxcoln memorial,nigarianew york worlds fair 1939, arbor day, edison's first lamp, daniel webster,george washington 4-1 cent 1789-1797.and all other countries and other u.s stamps also. I am not certain if this is a stamp. It is George Washington, orange in color. It has Bank Check written on the bottom, no date, on the top there are the words. U. S.INTERREF. 1937 malaya straits settlement 5c brown inverted overprinted. I think this is malaysia rarest stamp in the world. The words"O.H.M.S." does not exist in any of malaya stamp but in other country stamp such as india etc. and it is inverted over printed "O.H.M.S. PERAK",very unusual and strange. Mind to explain what goes wrong with the stamp? Does there any other of this stamp exist? What is the value now for this stamp? Hope to hear from you as soon as posible regard bubu

Hi, I am looking for a way to see if the price I pad for stamps is fair, and if you don't do this, could you recomend someone that does? I have #65 George Washington 1861 in unused extra fine condition I also have an 1863 Andrew Jackson in unused extra fine condition I realize the value is influenced by the collectors desire for the stamp, but I am just trying to see if I paid too much for these two stamps. Roosevelt Stamps (06/30/2007)

Hello, I recently bought a book and out of it fell a set of 4 stamps in a black sleeve. The stamps are rectangular shaped, green, with a picture of FD Roosevelt on the left, his name underneath, 1862-1945 and Hyde Park depicted. The denomination is 1c. Hi! I'm wondering how people in 1500 in England used to send letters to one another before stamps came? I am doing some writing and need to know what they used to send letters to different people, did they have anything instead of stamps? Hello! On your website you tell people who want to find the value of their stamps to BUY a stamp catalog. You should tell people to go to their library, where there are stamp catalogs. Chiang Kai-shek Stamp (03/26/2007)

I found this stamp inside of an old book I purchased some months ago. I knew it was old and since it is hand stampted not metered I knoew right away how special it was. I am new at this and would love to know how I find out the value of this stamp? In May 1929 Chiang Kai-shek makes a first appearance, commemorating the reunification of China. New definitives in 1931 depicted Sun Yat-sen. These stamps, along with the Martyrs issue of 1932 honoring six martyrs of the Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalist Party), would see much overprinting in the next several years. 1931 also saw the invasion of Manchuria by the Japanese and the formation of Manchukuo, which issued its own stamps.

United State Interal Revenue Stamp (03/02/2007)

I have a stamp that was on an old bottle of tooth powder. The stamp came off and is good shape. I can not find any information on the stamp. On the top of the stamp it reads “PROPRIETARY” on the bottom “CENT” in the middle 3/8. In a circle around the 3/8 it reads “United State Interal Revenue Series of 1914. Values of George Washington Stamps (01/26/2007)

Hello, I have 5 1 cent stamps with George Washington on them looking to the left. They are un-used and in excellent condition. Green in color with United States Postage in the upper right corner (three lines). Also written in three lines under George Washington's chin are the words George (line 1) Washington (line 2) 1789-1797 (line 3) Along the bottom of the stamp: 1 CENT 1. I am not a stamp collector, but I found these stamps in the pocket of my grandpa's navy suit and I would like to sell them if they have any kind of value. Letter with George Washington Stamp (01/19/2007)

I have a letter from Munn and Co. to gr-grandfather on letter head of Scienticfic American, dated May 18,1868. Have George Washington, stamp orange in color for 2 cents with u.s. interrev. on it. when was this made and what do the words mean? Is it worth anything. Gr Grandfather had turned in a patent. Hi there, Could you please advise on the approximate value of two types of stamps for me ? or pass this to someone who may be able to help. The stamps were launched by Nancy Regan in the white house on the 29th Sept 1981, the stamp is of the Irish Architect, James Hoben, who designed the White House. there were two types of these stamps printed, the 18c and the 20c. it is understood that the 18c stamp was a mistake and then replaced by the 20c stamp. I recently cleaned out a closet at Grandma's house and found 2 Benjamin Franklin 1c stamps. I'm not sure of the year but these stamps were found on letters dated 1903. The stamp is green in color and Ben Franklin is facing left on this stamp. It has U S POSTAGE at the top of stamp over Ben's profile. Under the profile it has ONE CENT. I can find stamps with Ben facing right but none with him facing left. What is the value of these stamps? Mary

I have 2 stamp albums 1 worth $5.75 and one worth $3.50 of Official United States Savings Stamps Album, saved @25 cents a piece. Hello, I found in my grandfather`s collection stamp that, I believe, you may be interested in. It is Franco Bollo c.quaranta. The stamp is not red colour, there is no colour on it. I never saw representative like this one. If you are interested I could send you a scened picture.  Also believe it worth a lot.

8 Pence Bermuda Stamp (11/17/2006)

Unique collection of Canadian stamps (11/10/2006)

I am wondering if you can help me. I have an unique collection of Canadian stamps which are bound in a special book commemorating V111 Congress Postal Union of the Americas and Spain, Buenos Aires Argentina 1960.
